Other Initiatives

As part of a recent and expanding initiative concerning ‘biodiversity and business’, WildCRU is working directly to influence policy making processes. The fact that WildCRU, an acknowledged research unit, is developing close ties with industry, is a sign of positive new developments in the area of conservation biology and wildlife habitat management.

WildCRU can make a clear case for the importance of coupling rigorous academic research with business as an essential addition to the traditional route for tackling key environmental conservation and development problems. There is an unquestionable link between environmental, and especially biological, degradation and business. There is also a great deal of interest in, and increasing activity aimed at, understanding this link.
