Raised and educated in Kenya I completed a B.A in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, before going on to pursue an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management at Oxford University.
Since 2010 I have worked in conjunction with the South Rift Association of Landowners to spearhead the establishment of Rebuilding the Pride: a community-based conservation program aimed at enabling Maasai pastoral communities in Kenya’s southern Rift to develop lion conservation initiatives rooted in traditional knowledge, sound science, and good governance.
I joined WildCRU in 2013 as a doctoral research student focused on understanding the ecological, socio-economic and cultural factors that promote coexistence between pastoralists and lions in human-dominated landscapes.
