After graduating in Zoology and Geology from the University of Rhodesia, I spent time in the mining industry as a geologist before returning to the family business, managing and running our wildlife estate. Our family estate had been developed for its wildlife potential and had a particular emphasis on rhino conservation. For 35 years I have been a fully licensed Professional Guide in Zimbabwe and have guided around Zimbabwe and the neighbouring countries. I am an enthusiastic photographer, especially of natural history.
I joined the WildCRU research team in Hwange in 2012, and a year later was running the camera trap surveys throughout our various study sites in northern and western Zimbabwe. In 2017 our camera trap survey sites extended into Botswana.
