Chester Zoo Scholar
Originally growing up in West Yorkshire in the UK, I have had the privilege to volunteer around the world on conservation projects. I graduated from the University of the West of England in Conservation Biology in 2012 and achieved a Masters from Imperial College in Conservation Science in 2014. My interests are in conservation science, including environmental and social science, with a particular fascination for wild felid conservation. My current research, as a DPhil at the WildCRU, Oxford University and Chester Zoo in 2016 with Professor David Macdonald and Dr Alex Zimmerman, will involve assessing the practical interventions of reducing human-large felid conflict in Nepal. My focal species include the Bengal tiger (Panthera tigris tigris) and the leopard (Panthera pardus fusca).
