Dec 2016 Ruaha Carnivore Project update

January 12, 2017

WildCRU works across the globe to improve carnivore conservation, often through community-based initiatives. Here, read the latest report from our Ruaha Carnivore Project, which works closely with local communities in Tanzania’s Ruaha landscape to reduce human-carnivore conflict and provide direct benefits to local people from wildlife presence. However, our work often extends beyond just carnivores – here, we discuss the plight of the pangolin, and show how beliefs in witchcraft can still threaten wildlife today.
