Recognition of distinction for Professor Amy Dickman

December 8, 2021

WildCRU is thrilled to announce that Amy Dickman has been awarded the title of Professor by the University of Oxford through their Recognition of Distinction exercise. Amy, whose career began as an intern and then field assistant at WildCRU, working with cheetahs, then went on to complete a doctorate with UCL and ZSL on human-wildlife conflict before returning to WildCRU as the Kaplan Senior Research Fellow at Pembroke College in 2009. Her research has focused on understanding and improving human coexistence with large carnivores, particularly lions. We are delighted to celebrate her Professorship and are so pleased that her valuable contributions to conservation science have been recognised in this way.
