Two French language lion conservation publications released

June 4, 2015

Most literature is written in English, but our coordinator for lion conservation in West and Central Africa produced two publications in French, which is more widely used in the region. The first is a report on a lion census in Cameroon, published in collaboration with the Garoua Wildlife College. The second is a translation of the revised edition of the acclaimed ‘toolkit for human lion conflict mitigation’ by Colleen Begg and Hadas Kushnir, originally written in 2010, and then revised in 2015 in English before being translated. These two publications primarily target conservation practitioners within the region, and we hope they will be widely used to inform and improve lion management in West and Central Africa.
