Dr Amy Dickman features at annual Tusk lecture
Last week, WildCRU’s Dr Amy Dickman gave an inspirational talk to over 400 people at the annual Tusk American Express Conservation Lecture. The talk was held at the Royal Geographical Society in London, and was followed by an informative Q&A session chaired by Kate Silverton. The talk raised awareness of WildCRU’s Ruaha Carnivore Project, which conducts community-based carnivore conservation in Tanzania’s Ruaha landscape. Ruaha is one of the most important places left in the world for lions, cheetahs and African wild dogs, and WildCRU’s work there has had significant benefits both for large carnivores and for local communities. Thanks to Tusk Trust, American Express, Painted Dog Wines, Elephant Gin, and everyone who attended and made it such an enjoyable evening.
