WildCRU News

Annie Kerriage

Admin Staff

I joined WildCRU as the Administrative Assistant in August 2021, where I provide general administrative support to WildCRU and the postgraduate students here.

My background is in both office and zoo keeping, having worked in zoos across the UK for 2 years.

I gained office and administrative experience when I worked as a Junior Designer for a property awards and magazine company for 2 years before deciding to move back towards a career that involved working with / around animals.

I have always had a great love for felids, and I found a particular love for Amur leopards after working so closely with them in my zoo keeping career. I was lucky enough to support and contribute to the successful breeding of the Amur leopard pair at Colchester Zoo where I Interned for a year in 2019, resulting in 2 healthy cubs – the first success with this species at Colchester Zoo.
Since then I have worked in both Linton Zoo in Cambridgeshire, and Sandwich Wildlife Park in Kent.

I am thrilled to be working with WildCRU as Administrative Assistant supporting the postgraduate and research students here, whilst keeping animals and conservation close to the heart of what I do.
