My research lies at the interface between spatial and behavioural ecology and I am particularly interested in how fundamental ecology can be used to inform conservation and management efforts. I mostly work with lions, using multi-sensor devices to explore how the distribution and richness of resources drives social and spatial structure in populations. I am currently working on a collaborative project between WildCRU and the Max Planck Institute of Animal Behavior to describe how groups of lions coordinate during hunting and fission-fusion events.
