I completed a bachelor’s degree in zoology from Liverpool John Moores University in 2014. During this time, I travelled to Madagascar to an advanced diploma in amphibian conservation and completed an expedition to Santa Rosa National Park, Costa Rica to study species which rely on fruiting trees.

Next I decided to specialise in nature conservation through an international master’s degree program hosted by Georg-August University, Göttingen and Lincoln University, Christchurch. This provided the opportunity to work with the Laboratory for Conservation of Endangered Species in Hyderabad, South India in their herpetology department, and Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions, Western Australia focusing on a reintroduced population of Brushtailed Possums.

I presented my Master’s thesis project at the Student’s Conference for Conservation Science in Hungary in 2017 which adds to literature promoting the benefits of outbreeding for conservation purposes. More recently I was part of the winter survey season radio-collaring the UK’s most threatened British mammal; the Scottish Wildcat.

Since January 2020 I was part of the administration team in WildCRU, providing administrative support at WildCRU and specifically the Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice students. In May 2021 I moved to the University of Oxford’s Sustainability Team.
