I am an MBiol student at the University of Oxford, conducting my fourth-year research project with WildCRU, more specifically as part of the Ethiopian Wolf Conservation Programme.
My research interests lie in large mammal conservation, particularly understanding the behaviour of endangered species, and applying this knowledge to conservation work. Within behaviour, I am interested in looking at interspecific interactions, particularly those which are the result of habitat encroachment by humans, as is the case for the Ethiopian wolf, whose highland habitat is being increasingly converted to agriculture. This brings the wolves into ever greater contact with humans and domestic species.
My research with the EWCP aims to quantify the disturbance potential of humans, and their dogs, to Ethiopian wolves, through the use of playback experiments.
