My journey with WildCRU began in 2016 as a WildCRU Diploma student (https://www.wildcru.org/members/ugyen-penjor/). After completing the diploma, I worked for the Nature Conservation Division, Royal Government of Bhutan, as a head of species conservation and monitoring section. My job entailed project management and administration in addition to providing technical assistance to the department. For my DPhil, I will evaluate the distribution and connectivity of flora and fauna species in Bhutan. I will use camera trap and vegetation data to test multiscale optimization of habitat use/occurrence. I will also test climate scenarios and make future predictions in distribution and range shift.
