Ecosystem and Habitat Management: Research, Policy and Practice
“Ecosystem and Habitat Management: Research, Policy and Practice” was the theme of a recent and highly successful Association of Applied Biologists’ (AAB’s) two-day conference at the University of Worcester. Topics covered included habitat restoration, rewilding, invasive species management, agri-environment schemes and ecosystem services delivery, and there were excellent talks from many speakers, including George Peterken, Ian Rotherham, Nick Sotherton, Graham Begg and Keith Walters. WildCRU’s Ruth Feber was on the organising committee and is an editor of the conference Proceedings (Aspects of Applied Biology, 139), which also feature a short paper on WildCRU’s research on farm woodlands and butterfly conservation. The Proceedings are available for purchase from the AAB http://www.aab.org.uk/contentok.php?id=378.
