Ruaha project member chosen as a Disney Conservation Hero

Ruaha Carnivore Conservation programme Community Liaison Officer Msago has been chosen as one of Disney’s 2013 Conservation Heroes. Fourteen individuals were chosen as recognition for their tireless efforts to save wildlife, protect habitats and educate communities. Further information can be found here:

More information about Msago’s work with the programme since its inception in 2009 can be found at the Ruaha Carnivore Conservation project’s website. The Ruaha Carnivore Conservation project is led by WildCRU’s Dr Amy Dickman.

Each award recipient and their nominating organization will share a $1,500 award from the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, which since 1995 has donated over $20 million to conservation projects in over 112 countries.
