The WildCRU game featured in Sustainability Times

October 3, 2018

WildCRU Postdoctoral Researcher and Diploma tutor Cedric Tan, and WildCRU Diploma Administrator and IT Support Jennifer Spencer designed The WildCRU Game, to promote the work of conservation biologists and ecologists in an innovative board game. The game blends Choose-Your-Own-Adventure style encounters with biology and ecology trivia to put the players into the roles of WildCRU conservationists trying to set up projects studying some of the world’s most iconic carnivores.

As part of our plan to get the game to the places that matter, Dr Tan is using it in his teaching his teachings. He was interviewed for Sustainability Times, and you can read the article here: https://www.sustainability-times.com/environmental-protection/a-game-lets-kids-release-their-inner-conservationist/

‘In other words, you can learn how best to save endangered animals simply while playing at being a conservationist. “Hopefully,” Dr. Tan says, “this game will be able to inspire more kids to become future conservation biologists.”’
