Kadas Research Fellow in the Geopolitics of Wildlife Conservation
My current research explores the geopolitical factors that facilitate or frustrate international wildlife conservation, especially for large carnivores. I work within WildCRU’s Geopolitics of Wildlife research theme.
My previous work (at Oxford University’s department of Geography and the Environment) included investigations of: the politics involved in enacting various forms of connectivity for UK woodland mammals, social understandings and the management of microbial life, and the political role of orangutans in palm oil controversies. My academic background includes an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (Oxford), an MA in Environment, Policy and Society (The Open University), and an MPhil (Biodiversity, Conservation & Management track) and DPhil in Geography (Oxford). I previously had a career in finance, working for the investment bank UBS in various European locations.
