I was born in Mexico and graduated in Biology at the University of Baja California in 2005. After that, I did a masters degree in Conservation Biology at the Institute of Ecology in 2008. For the past five years, I have been involved in the Mexican wolf reintroduction program in Mexico. Most of the field work has been with trap cameras, attending livestock depredation problems, maintaining a GIS database and following the released wolves by telemetry. My main interests are in the field of conservation biology, wildlife management, macroecology, human-wildlife conflicts and large carnivore ecology. Currently I am taking the Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice here at WildCRU where we are improving skills in methods of survey and data analysis. After finishing the diploma, I hope to start a PhD focusing on carnivores in Mexico.
