I spent my early childhood in Greece and Poland before moving to South Africa where I have lived for the past 20 years. I read for a National Diploma in Nature Conservation at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University before completing the Recanati-Kaplan Centre Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice at WildCRU in 2011. I am interested in the conservation and management of wild felids, particularly leopards, and in 2010 I served as a field and research assistant on the Landmark Foundation’s Leopard and Predator project, mitigating leopard-farmer conflict in the Cape Province. I also conducted research on the diet and prey preferences of an unstudied leopard and caracal population in the forests surrounding my University.

I am currently undertaking my Masters with the WildCRU and am sponsored by a grant from the Panthera Foundation. I am supervised by Dr Guy Balme and Dr Amy Dickman and am conducting research on the trophy hunting of leopards in the savannahs of northern Zululand, South Africa.
