I come from Northeast China. I obtained a BSc in Biological Science and MSc in Genetics from Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, Heilongjiang province. When working on conservation of Amur tigers and leopards in Hunchun, Jilin province, I got involved in some conservation practices such as camera-trap surveys and SMART patrolling. I am particularly interested in how to address human-wildlife conflict.
I hope I can equip myself with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in ecology and wildlife conservation from this course, and continue to make an effort to deal with conservation issues in big cat conservation in China.
