Currently (as per 2024), I am undertaking an MBiol project exploring public perceptions of the potential reintroduction of the Eurasian Lynx to Scotland—a subject of significant debate and diverse viewpoints. This project builds from a longstanding interest of mine, making up the focus of my extended project qualification, written during my school years. While the dynamics of this potential reintroduction have evolved over time, my dedication to the issue has remained steadfast. It represents a unique intersection of my love for the natural world, and keen interest in environmental policy and human-wildlife interactions.
Throughout my undergraduate Biology degree at Oxford, I have pursued numerous research projects that reflect my commitment to understanding and addressing environmental challenges. Notably, I have conducted a project assessing speciation patterns of endemic plant species across the Canary Islands and reviewed the impact of extreme anthropogenic noise pollution on Cetaceans. These experiences have deepened my resolve to contribute to meaningful and positive change in conservation, which I am excited to explore during my time at WildCRU!
