I was born in Brazzaville (Republic of Congo). After finishing my studies in Sustainable Forest management at Marien NGOUABI University in Brazzaville, I applied for an internship at Odzala Kokoua National Park (managed by the Congolese Government in partnership with the South African NGO, African Parks Network) in 2022. I spent 5 months of internship working on wildlife monitoring through camera traps. In 2023, I was then recruited at Odzala Kokoua National Park as a research assistant.

At Odzala Kokoua, from 2023 to early 2025, I supervised the MENA (Molecular and Ecological Network Assessment) project by training field teams on genetic sampling.

I also helped to supervise the surveys used to estimate populations of forest elephants, gorillas, chimpanzees, and to identify human activities in the park from July 2025 to August 2026.

The PGDip in International Wildlife Conservation Practice at WildCRU is one of the best opportunities I could get. I am very excited to learn from the experienced lecturers who will teach the course and to meet and exchange with others young researchers working on wildlife conservation. Through this opportunity my country could have one more specialist in wildlife conservation who can help train future generations.
