PROFILE

I am a bat biologist and conservationist from Nigeria. My journey into bat conservation began during my undergraduate research studies in Southern Nigeria, where I surveyed bats at creeks and forest edges to study their behaviour and roosting sites. This experience deepened my curiosity in bat ecology and wildlife conservation.

Currently, I work as Programs Manager with the Small Mammal Conservation Organization. I have led research teams conducting surveys for the conservation of the endangered Short-tailed roundleaf bat in Southern Nigeria.

I also oversee community-led projects that protect species habitat through wildfire prevention and forest restoration in protected areas.

I am excited about the opportunity to join the Postgraduate Diploma Programme with WildCRU and learn from experienced conservationists and experts committed to protecting biodiversity. Through this programme, I hope to sharpen my research skills and gain knowledge that will enable me to develop and implement effective conservation actions.
