Justin Seymour-Smith
Overseas
After graduating in Zoology and Geology from the University of Rhodesia, Justin spent time in the mining industry as a geologist before returning to the family business, managing and running his family’s wildlife estate. The estate had been developed for its wildlife potential and had a particular emphasis on rhino conservation. For 35 years Justin has been a fully licensed Professional Guide in Zimbabwe and has guided around Zimbabwe and the neighbouring countries. Justin is an enthusiastic photographer, especially of natural history.
Justin joined the Trans Kalahari Predator Programme research team in Hwange in 2012, and a year later was running the camera trap surveys throughout our various study sites in northern and western Zimbabwe. In 2017 our camera trap survey sites extended into Botswana.
