David Macondald
David Macdonald has led WildCRU’s Clouded Leopard Programme since conceiving it in 2010.

Dawn Burnham
Dawn has worked on the Clouded Leopard Programme as programme coordinator since 2012.

Andrew Hearn
Andy has led WildCRU’s field research in Sabah, Borneo since commencing his DPhil in 2010, having begun field work on clouded leopards in 2006.

Żaneta co-leads the connectivity modelling and landscape change analysis with Sam Cushman.

Sam Cushman
Under WildCRU’s collaboration with the US Forestry Service, Sam co-leads the connectivity modelling and landscape change analysis with Zaneta Kaszta.

Cedric Tan
Cedric led WildCRU’s field work in Ulu Muda, Malaysia, and the multi-author multi-dataset analysis of forest connectivity in peninsular Malaysia.

Susan Cheyne
During her time as a post doc in WildCRU Susan led WildCRU’s field work in Kalimantan, Indonesian Borneo.

Akchousanh Rasphone
Akchou led WildCRU’s camera trapping surveys in Laos during her field work for her DPhil at Oxford. She is working with the Landscape Ecology Laboratory team on a landscape change analysis for Laos.

Iding Haidir
Iding led WildCRU’s camera trapping surveys in Sumatra, Indonesia during his field work for his DPhil at Oxford.

Ugyen Penjor
For his DPhil and in partnership with the Department of Forests and Park Services, Ugyen Penjor is developing a comprehensive conservation toolkit for species conservation in Bhutan.

Luca Chiaverini
Luca is developing a biodiversity model and guild analysis for Southeast Asia for his DPhil at Oxford.

Eric Ash
Eric is working on tigers in Thailand’s Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex for his DPhil at Oxford. With his collaborators in Thailand he is contributing to WildCRU’s clouded leopard camera trap database.

Pyae Phyoe Kyaw
Pyae Phyoe Kyaw is a research assistant with WCS Myanmar and alumni of WildCRU’s Recanati-Kaplan Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice in 2019. He worked on WildCRU’s camera trapping surveys in Myanmar, and is a co-author of an analysis of guild structure.

Saw Htun
Saw Htun is Country Director for WCS Myanmar and alumni of WildCRU’s Recanati-Kaplan Postgraduate Diploma in International Wildlife Conservation Practice in 2010, he is a key member of WildCRU’s policy toolkit team for Myanmar and is a co-author of subsequent analyses.

Hla Naing
Hla Naing is the Deputy County Director for with WCS Myanmar working in the Northern Mountain Forest Complex of Myanmar. He led the field work for WildCRU’s first camera trapping surveys in Myanmar and is a co-author of subsequent analyses.

Chrishen Gomez
Chrishen is a prospective DPhil student from Kuala Lumpur, and a key member of Andy Hearn’s field research team in Sabah, Malaysia, contributing to collaring, camera trapping and the collection of genetic samples.

Dr Paloma Alcázar García
Paloma is a trained veterinarian from Peru and a member of our field research team in Sabah, Malaysia. She oversees the capture and immobilisation procedures for our Borneo carnivore field and leads on the animal health component.

Amy Fitzmaurice
Amy is researching interventions of reducing human-large felid conflict in Nepal for her DPhil in Oxford. She has contributed to WildCRU’s clouded leopard programme both as a field researcher and also to support and guide the work of the interns to consolidate and standardise our camera trap database.
